YarnTalk Christmas Special 2015 | What we’re gifting, bloopers & the YarnTalkTail

YarnTalk Holiday card 2015

Surprise! Heidi, Leah & Allyson decided to pop in for a little BBC-style Christmas special episode between seasons 1 & 2 of YarnTalk. The ladies are sharing what they’re knitting (or not knitting) for the holidays, gifts are exchanged among the hosts, and Heidi shares an original recipe for your new boozy best friend: the YarnTalkTail (a.k.a YarnTalk’s signature cocktail). As always, don’t forget to keep up with the show using #yarntalk on social media between seasons!

What we’re knitting
Heidi is working on her soon-to-be-released Funkasonic Mukluks & Funkasonic Mittens, which you can preview here. Her husband’s gift will probably be done by Christmas.

Allyson is knitting the Go Team Go hat by Jill Zielinski.

Leah is knitting baby hats of her own design. Get a tutorial for how to make them here.

YarnTalkTail Recipe
Mix the following with ice.
3 oz. bourbon (Eagle Rare shown)
1 oz. peach schnapps
3 oz. apricot sparkling water (La Croix shown)
1-2 oz. ginger beer (Bunderberg shown)

Muddle 2-3 slices fresh ginger and 1/3 of a clementine rind. Using a strainer, pour liquid over muddled items. Stir. Serve strained, over ice.

Please note that that none of these items is a product placement or sponsorship.

Coupon code
YARNTALK20 can be used for one pattern in each of the host’s shops.
